As we prepare to celebrate the groundbreaking of our Boathouse in a Box project later this month, we want to recognize the partners, organizations, and community leaders who believed in the future of rowing and river recreation in the Wabash Valley.
Because of their support, a project that once existed only as an idea is becoming reality, creating new opportunities along the Wabash River.

Our Learn to Row Camp is in full swing on the water after a day indoors, learning basics on the rowing machines. The kids are excited to finish out the week working to move the boat together!
Due to the flooding on the Wabash with recent storms, we've had to adjust locations to the Lazy L, and are so grateful for their support! Our program would not be able to continue to grow in this way without them. If you're looking for a way to cool off this summer - be sure to check out their great swim set up including their inflatable water park!

This weekend, hundreds of people were introduced to the sport of rowing through the movie The Boys in the Boat as part of the "At the Movies" series at Maryland Community Church
While the film tells the remarkable story of a rowing team overcoming adversity and achieving something greater than themselves, Sunday's message focused on an even bigger theme: UNITY.
One of the most powerful lessons in rowing is that a boat only moves at its best when every person surrenders the good of themselves for the good of everyone else in the boat. Like in rowing, together we have the power to create access, opportunity, and advancement for everyone when we choose to "Carry each other's burdens" (Galatians 6:2).
We are grateful to Maryland Community Church for sharing the story of rowing with their congregation and for highlighting the values that make both great crews and strong communities possible.
If you haven't seen it, we highly recommend checking it out.
