It was a lively noisy fun bunch of partiers tonight; most of them finally coordinated themselves and sang along. What a treat for me to play a newly tuned Yamaha grand.

Over the river and through the pass to Cambria-land we go! My man knows the way, we don’t need a sleigh or white and drifted snow.

Over the speed bumps and past the oaks oh how we love to go…it’s going to be fun, hurry, run run…to Linn’s Restaurant’s the show.

I was attempting to gather my audience yesterday knocking door to door in a tiny neighborhood for a unique gig when an elderly woman came out of her house with the kindest smile and said,
“Oh thank you for inviting us, but my husband is taking a nap and I’m keeping him company.”

It's good to start early exposing your children to GOOD music and giving them an opportunity to explore and try making sounds with what you have around the house. Tupperware drum set? Oh yeah. Shakers made from rice in a can? Why not? Here is a good article about which instruments are good for beginners. I was taught to sing, then play piano, then cello, then choir, then I was off and running...duos, worship teams, bands, harmonica, guitar, ukulele, percussion, and finally I'm a solo performer, while still playing well with others. Thanks Mom and Dad. Your examples and discipline helped me get to where I am today. I would have quit 100's of times. But you knew it took a minimum of 4 years of consistent lessons and practicing to become accomplished. Ta da!

All with the music from Homemade Band - a fun, upbeat, joyous music duo featuring husband and wife team Will White and Eliza Sings. Mainly playing standards from the 60's and 70's, they have also been known to pull out a few cool bluesy or jazzy tunes! 🎶
