Well folks, today is International Wheelchair Day! Started in 2008, by British disability advocate Steve Wilkinson living with spina bifida, this day highlights how wheelchairs are more than just tools. They are definitely lifelines empowering people to live independently and more on their own terms. We celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of wheelchair users, while also reminding us of the ongoing need for inclusivity in our communities. My wheelchair allows me access to employment, education, church and R&R (as seen here at our local beach). Acknowledging this day promotes a better understanding of the challenges faced by those with mobility impairments and advocates for more accessible environments & policies, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, can get involved, feel seen and contribute to their communities! So, HIWD! 😎👨‍🦽👩‍🦽‍➡️

Can't say thank you enough to the wonderful people from Saints Simon & Jude parish in Huntington Beach, CA. Such a REJUVENATING time of retreat speaking on the topic "Psalms: A Hymnal for Life" with Fr. Reynold Furrell at the peaceful Vina De Lestonnac retreat center in Temecula, CA. Felt we were in Tuscany!

Been blessed to sing each year for the Carmelite Prayer Breakfast at Mission Basilica School! These sisters reflect the joy of the Lord and carry the Holy Spirit with them everywhere they go. So grateful for your ministry!

Found myself reading this over and over and over again, letting it sink in. Forgiveness is a CONSTANT attitude. Hmm... important concept to adopt… not just for those that hurt us, but for our own personal well-being, eventually affecting our families and all of society. Thank you, Martin Luther King Jr. When put into action, we are all blessed by your teachings.
