I love the interior of the 1990 Mazda Miata. Nice simple buttons and k***s. No screens, easy to read and classic guages. No pretense of ‘luxury,’ just simple and practical.

Look at that happy car eating up the slalom. The first-gen Miatas, honestly any Miatas, are a blast in autocross, since it’s more of an 8/7 go-kart.

What would compete with this, the 3rd gen Eclipse? Toyota Celica? Mercury Cougar? Talking
New car, same model year. If anything, this shows that the small fun car segment was starting to fall apart. The Civic after this one would be much softer; the Eclipse was tamer, and the Celica was having an identity crisis after just being a coupe for so long
Would you have gotten a Civic Si in 99’... rhetorical question, I know.
