Automotive design peaked in the 1990’s. This Supra is close to 40 years old, but hardly looks it. To put it in perspective, in 1991, a nearly 40-year-old car would have been from the 1960’s.
The only real negative I have is the wheels. 17” wheels were large back then, but they look so small and sunken in. Being painted basic gray on a gray body really doesn’t help. The orange Supra from the Fast and Furious did the fitment right.
In 1991, 200+ horsepower N/A was a pretty stout number, especially for a 6 cylinder. 300+ horsepower was practically supercar territory. I wonder why the 0-60 and the 1/4 mile seem kinda… light?
$28,000 in 2003 is roughly $50,000 today in 2026. At that price, was the Mach 1 a good buy? Better and more unique than a GT, yet cheaper than a Terminator Cobra. Would you get one?
Every V8 Mustang should have come with subframe connectors. While the Ford bolt-in subframe connectors aren’t as robust as full length weld-in, they absolutely do strengthen the chassis and improve handling so much.
