On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month...

Today, we commemorate Veterans Day to express our gratitude to the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. 🎗️ But do you know the history behind this significant day?

Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, was first observed on November 11, 1919, marking the first anniversary of the end of World War I. The armistice agreement between the Allies and Germany took effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

In 1954, after the end of World War II and the Korean War, the day was officially renamed Veterans Day to honor all American veterans. It is a day to recognize the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who have served or are currently serving in the military.

Let's take a moment today to reflect on the bravery of our veterans and express our deepest appreciation for their service. Tag a veteran you know and thank them for their dedication to our country. thank you to all my brothers and sisters out there who served.🤝🗽
