Episode 5 launching...
Some stories of legacy begin with what we build. Others begin with what we survive.
In this episode, weāre talking about love, loss, faith, purpose and legacy with Kiesha Geyen.
Keishaās journey has taken her through the unimaginable loss of her mother, and later, her husband. But this conversation isnāt only about what she lostāitās about what God revealed, what love left behind, and what she chose to build in her husbandās honor.
Through grief, God showed up. Through the difficult days, He guided her. And even now, as she learns how to carry love and loss at the same time, her faith continues to carry her forward.
This is a conversation about discovering that legacy doesnāt end when someone leaves us. Sometimes, thatās where a new assignment begins.
Stay tuned for more clips as we Prepare to drop the full episode Sunday, September 20th!!
Every legacy has a seedāand sometimes that seed is planted by someone who sees something in you before you see it in yourself.
For Jo Ann Hoye, that early seed was planted through Danny Lion Scarborough at San Diego State Universityāan experience that helped give birth to the vision and intuition that would later influence her work in poetry, dance/worship ministry, and creating spaces for others to be heard.
š± Someone planted the seed. Jo Ann nurtured it. Now others are benefiting from the harvest.

A Conversation Can Change a Generation.
Sometimes legacy starts with planting a seedāand giving someone a place to be heard. š¤š±
For Jo Anne Marie Hoye, that seed became Poets Vibeāa platform and events created to include the voice of young people, a stage, and permission to express their stories and others through poetry.
When you give the next generation a voice, youāre not just creating an eventāyouāre creating legacy.

That gives this clip a strong biblical connection to Jo Anneās ministry through movement.
Before there was modern dance ministry, there was movement in worship.
Miriam took the tambourine and led the women in dance after God delivered Israel. David danced before the Lord with all his might.
Throughout generations, movement has been used to celebrate, communicate, minister, and worship.
In this Legacy Seat conversation, Jo Anne Marie Hoye reminds us that your body, your movement, and your creativity can all become instruments of ministry.
