It was time to upgrade this clients salt system. He purchased the home in 2018 so he did not know how old the salt system was but based on the date of his salt cell I can confirm his system was over 10 years.

He was happy to know that in the future when he decides to upgrade his system (to be able to control the pool with his phone) he will already have most of the foundation for the upgrade because the Hayward Aquarite S3 system has the option to power 1 pump and 1 heater. 🤗

It can be frustrating when you want to use your spa and the heater isn’t working. For this pool the issue was the water temp sensor but that may not always be the case. In most cases the reason is due to a dirty filter. A dirty filter can restrict water flow to the heater and if there is not enough water flow through the heater it will not work. If it ends up not being a flow issue it could be an issue with the heater itself.
