In the last couple of weeks, we have seen a dramatic increase in bear activity in town. This includes not only the usual dumpster diving, but in the last two days, we've had a bear failing to yield to hikers on the Bear Creek Trail, and a bear enter a residence in town. Unfortunately, we have also noticed a number of people approaching bears to take photos, etc. Please help us spread the word that these are wild animals, and therefore unpredictable.
