Emily Olsen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), bringing a unique perspective to the field of
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). With over 20 years of personal and professional experience supporting individuals with a wide range of behavioral and developmental needs, Emily is dedicated to promoting growth in the field of ABA, increasing access to services, and educating the community
through collaboration, advocacy, and training.
With an early interest in mental health, Emily participated in multiple mentorship programs where she provided companionship, tutored, and led activities to promote social-emotional growth among students in an English Language Learners classroom and those who had experienced Adverse Childhood
Experiences (ACES). Emily went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a focus on early childhood development and mental health. Emily worked for 14 years as a childcare provider, dedicated to strengthening the social-emotional growth of the individuals in her care. Throughout those years, Emily
also married and had three children of her own. As Emily learned more about neurodiversity and mental
health through her experiences as a mother of children with special needs, her passion for advocacy and education accelerated. Emily’s positive experiences working closely with Psychologists, Counselors, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Special Educators, and many more professionals established an extensive knowledge in supporting individuals with special needs.
The challenges and joys of parenting children with special needs contributed to Emily’s desire to seek a
career path which could incorporate a collaborative approach to supporting individuals with diverse
abilities. Emily began working as a paraprofessional, supporting students in the school setting. Her work
as a paraprofessional furthered Emily’s passion in advocacy and mental health, prompting her to earn a
master’s degree in psychology with a specialization in applied behavior analysis. With professional experience within home, school, and clinic settings, Emily offers comprehensive behavior analytic services utilizing a collaborative approach.
LINC ABA is committed to fostering an environment of learning by supporting individuals in discovering many new connections to independence, relationships, self-discovery, communication, and awareness to the world around them.
