Up at the Crack of dawn as they say. Race weekend is upon us.

Had a great 3 hour endurance race this past weekend at . Besides a right front wheel bearing going out the car did great and took an entire weekend of getting hammered on the track.

To the racetrack we go.

Final couple of nice touches on the mustang build. The air filters that provided do not fit on behind this radiator so had to go with mesh inlet covers instead.

Another successful weekend at the racetrack. We still had clutch issues but I managed to keep my lap times consistently in the 1.25 range and today I started 15th overall and move all the way up to 9th place before the clutch got worse. The clutch made it tough to keep the other drivers behind me so I lost a place on the last lap and finished 10th overall.
TOP 10 finish and 1st in class. This was a great weekend. Time to head home. This was the season finale so next race will be January. Hopefully at Daytona.

Well I shaved 2 seconds off my lap time. Our race was only 20 mins long but I was able to move up 3 places overall. Started 14th out of 21. I finished 11th behind 10 higher horsepower cars except for Mike's car. His car is about the same power but its Mike. No one beats him unless his car is broken so I feel okay about it. Lol and I finished 1st in my class since I was technically the only one in my specific class. So, I'm running the wrong tires since they didn't have any of the ones we usually run (these tires are about 1 second slower because they are thinner and not as sticky) and the clutch slipping a bit at the top of 3rd gear BUT I still managed to move up 3 places and run 2 seconds faster so I'm pretty happy.

Kept the Miata light for qualifying so she was a little thirsty after.

This was after finishing qualifying. According to Mike this car should be in the mid 20's and I ran a 1:27 with slow SPEC miata tires so I'm happy.
I ran with the stock hood on and now we put on our newly modified hood to go along with the whole radiator and cooling route that we changed.
So now we will see if the aerodynamic changes we made will work for the miata like it did for the GT40.
Original hood vs new hood.
