How often should I be washing my hair?

With scalp health on the rise - we want to make it clear that cleaning your scalp is just as important as cleaning your body!

This doesn’t mean you have to wash every day (who has time for that anyway!?) but we would recommend washing at least every 3-4 days to properly clean your scalp - removing any dirt and build up allowing it to breath!

A healthier scalp = healthier hair!

Television shampoo and conditioner is good for all hair types and a great product to switch to for the summer because of it’s balance of protein and moisture!

Suncatcher is also a great product to incorporate into your summer hair routine as well. Hydration, heat and UV protection, and it great to keep blonde hair and extensions hydrated in the sun, at the beach or in the pool!

Are you using a shower head filter?

It’s no secret that there are unfortunately harmful minerals and chemicals in our water and even the smallest amounts over time can have a huge impact on your hair, skin, and health!

Shower head filters are usually very easy to installed and is a mindless way to make sure you’re getting the cleanest water possible regardless of where you live… and if you live here in Florida, you know this is much needed!

Blondes and extension girlies ✨ this is an absolutely necessity in keeping your blondes from turning brassy and your extensions from changing colors!

Here’s a reminder to also wash your hair with cool water as well!

“Should I show up with clean hair or dirty hair to my hair color appointment?”

Clean hair, always! ✨

So many clients come into the salon saying “I heard dirty hair was better!!” but this is simply not true.

Hair color and lightener are both chemical processes. If you have a build up of oil, dry shampoo, hair spray or any other product on your hair - those chemicals also now need to not only break down the hair, but everything you have on top of it!

This can also cause inconsistent results in your color when different chemicals are mixed
together that really aren’t meant to be.

So here’s your reminder that clean hair is always best! 🤍
