Lumens is how the brightness is measured.
Halogen Low Beam -800 lumens/lasts 300 hours
Halogen High Beam -1000 lumens/lasts 300 hours
LED Low Beam - 3600 lumens/lasts 30,000 hrs
LED High Beam - 4800 lumens/lasts 30,000 hrs
Brighter light at night reduces eye fatigue and makes driving at night fun :)
