The ritual. It’s all you can think about and sometimes you can’t think at all. It finds its way back to you and never leaves you. You try and forget and you forget to try. But the city’s changing and everything still feels the same somehow. You slow down, drink water, comb your hair. Try and pretend like it’s not following you. But you know it is and always has been.
