A rare Extreme Cold Warning has been issued for all of the North Carolina mountains for tonight into Monday morning; when you factor in the wind chills, temperatures will feel as cold as -20° in spots. Please prepare now.

The National Weather Service says "The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Pets and livestock will be endangered by extreme cold if left unprotected for extended periods."

When you factor in the winds, the real feel temperatures will be in the 10s and single digits for most areas, with temperatures feeling below zero across the high country. Tonight should be the coldest feeling night so far this year.

Don't forget your pets, and check up on neighbors and older folks to make sure they have working heat sources.

Solution:

Roku 14.1 update changed default setting for third party control.

To fix: Settings > System > Advance system settings > Control by mobile apps > Network access and change this from "limited" to "enabled" or "Permissive" and answer yes to the security prompt.

Customers running Roku fw prior to 14.1 are not affected.
