I'm pleased to let you know that service was restored around 7:45pm EDT.
The explanation given to me by our fiber provider is that their major fiber trunk distribution node failed and had to be replaced. This was clearly a major effort and one that was, unfortunately, out of our control.
I thank you again for your understanding and your patience through what was an exceptionally difficult day.
About 1pm, our provider's fiber-optic distribution nodes failed in the street. This has knocked out our services. At this moment, the ETA for service restoration is 7pm EDT.
