Our first color of the season and it came early! Forest yes cutting are flowering. Our tiny apples are getting green leaves. Spring came early. Way early! I'd say within just a few weeks we will see green again !! Bring on spring!
To say I was great full to have our cabin ready for winter is an understatement. But this. This is where I feel like home. Finally warm enough to get a small grill goin outside to cook. Listen and watch our animals and just to see the beauty we are surrounded by!! I love our little piece of heaven !!

Yeeyee. Proud chicken mama moment. Found this nest today while doin chores! My Easter eggers gave me green eggs and the silkie we hatched this year is laying!! I've been searching for their eggs for a month now ! Hit the jackpot today ! Thank you ladies ,!

With hay being hard to come by these days we were researching alternative feed and came across leaf hay. So naturally living in the middle of a Forrest it just made sense. In the fall we began to chop branches and store them off the ground and covered. These last few weeks we've begun to test them out. Verdict.....everyone loves them. All the sheep love the maples. The pigs are fond of the oak. And our goat Frankie, well Frankie loves everything!! Knowing that they are a hit next fall we will go bigger! Something to think about for those needing extra feed to supplement when things are scarce.

14 mc nuggets hatched day before yesterday! Mama finally let them out to eat! Welcome to the world lil babies!

After spending the last two winters in a tent, we are in our cabin with a wood stove! The boys love it already! Next winter, rocket heater with heated bench!

With the cold wet weather moving in time to keep the guardians warm dry and happy!! Sheena loves her jacket. Trust just seems sad about having to wear clothes!
