We brought this one all the way back to life and we’re just gonna say it, we’re a little proud of this glow-up. 🙌

Furniture stripping is basically a mystery show and usually has a plot twist 😅

That old stain was hiding green wood underneath 👀 (rude)

This bed got a total vibe shift, and it fits her new style perfectly. Proof that sometimes a simple change makes the biggest impact 🙌🏻

Whew! 🥵
This one took us on a full-on rollercoaster ride! Twists, turns, a few “what did we get ourselves into?” moments… but we made it to the finish line 🙌🏻

Not every project goes smoothly, and this one definitely kept us on our toes. But it’s a good reminder: don’t give up on your vision when things get tricky. Sometimes you just have to pivot, get creative, and try a different approach.

Stripping and staining projects… always a breeze, right? 😅

This bed looked like it was going to be an easy win. Strip it down, throw on a white wash stain, and call it a day. Easy peasy… or so we thought.

Plot twist: under that old finish is some VERY stubborn wood grain holding onto a dark stain for dear life. Wood bleach? Nope. White wash? Also nope. This piece said, “Not today.” 🙃

Now we’ve got a bed with attitude and a finish that refuses to cooperate.
So… what would YOU do? Lean into the drama? Go darker? Try a different technique?

Alison’s Buffet: The Grand Reveal 🎉

And just like that… the glow-up is complete ✨

What started as a “carrot-top redhead situation” has officially settled into a rich, gorgeous auburn moment, and WOW was the trust-the-process worth it 😍

She picked the glass doors (excellent choice, if we do say so ourselves), and they add just the right amount of elegance while still showing off the beauty of the piece. She’s classy, she’s a little dramatic, and she knows it.

You might notice we kept things simple on the hardware front… and that’s because this beauty is heading to her new home where she’ll get her final accessories 💁‍♀️ (because every queen deserves to pick her own jewelry).

This one had a few plot twists along the way, but the final result? 10/10, no notes.

Alison Buffet Update 🍿

We’ve officially entered the “trust the process” phase…
The buffet is stripped down and rocking its first coat of stain (and let me be VERY clear, this is not the final color. As Alison perfectly described: “Right now it’s giving carrot-top redhead… we’re aiming for auburn redhead”)

😂Honestly, I’ve never heard a more accurate color description in my life.

So yes, it’s a little bold at the moment… but don’t panic, we’re not stopping here.

Now for the big design debate:

✨ Wood door?

Meet Alison’s Buffet Project 👋🏻

Alison is back for another project with us, clearly she didn’t learn her lesson the first time 😉 (kidding… we love a loyal customer). She’s an absolute blast to work with and is basically the dream client: open to all kinds of styles and ideas. The only catch? When you’re open to everything, we have to talk through everything. So yes, there have been approximately 47 messages and counting to make sure we nail the vision 😂
Here’s where we’re at with this hutch:
✨ Hardware? Getting the boot.
✨ Mirror door? Also making its grand exit.
As for the finish… your guess is as good as ours right now 🤷‍♀️
We might fully strip and stain. We might do a paint-and-stain combo. We will decide once we see what secrets this piece is hiding under all that finish.
So basically, it’s a furniture makeover + a little mystery + a dash of chaos.
