What a week we’ve had in Flowertown!

Finally starting to look like autumn around here! I love the fun pumpkins and gorgeous mums I found at Coastal Produce (Summerville)! Still more to do (front porch!) but I’m loving every minute of it, especially the amazing fall weather 🧡🍁🍂🎃

Last Sunday’s weather didn’t cooperate with my plans to work on the porch, so I thought I’d share a different project and hope this weekend brings lots of sunshine!

I jokingly call this area between the back porch and the driveway the “Bus Stop.” When we first moved in, there was only a park bench and a porch swing and the only thing to look at was the driveway. This is the entrance everyone uses, so I knew the area had to be more welcoming.

The tall bright green plants are wasabi coleus (annuals). They’ve done well (except for the one that has fallen over - likely caused by the cat that likes to roam around in our yard at night!), but I want to try something different next year…perhaps something with more color. The hosta plants are doing ok, not great, so I’ll probably move them when I redo the bed. The area around the fountain gets very little sunlight, which has been more challenging than I expected.

The fountain came from Flowertown Garden Center and we love it! They were so helpful and a pleasure to work with on this project. They recommended the guys who delivered and installed it for us and they were very nice and did a great job.

Now, we actually enjoy sitting at the Bus Stop!

Absolutely the most stressful project so far…Assembling and installing the Murano Glass chandelier I ordered from Italy. Worth every bead of sweat!😥❤️
