Texas shooting: Fifteen killed in attack at US primary school

When will this stop? There are reports that the suspect killed his grandmother prior to going to the school and, was possibly posting things on social media that pointed to his intentions. LIADV is calling on everyone to please say something if you ever see something troubling on social media, if you think someone might be a danger to themselves or others. It is up to all of us. We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those lost today.

As we end Women’s History Month, LIADV is honoring Jo Anne Mitidieri Sanders, LIADV’s Executive Director for over 30 years. Jo Anne dedicated her career to advocating for the rights of women and for system wide changes in the way domestic violence is responded to. Jo Anne was a true pioneer and paved the way for all of us that are doing the work today.

LIADV is celebrating local women that have contributed to the safety of survivors of domestic violence. We are proud to recognize Keri Herzog who is not only a fierce advocate but also a lifelong friend and mentor to so many here In Suffolk County.
