“I started my journey into self care in 2012, after being asked to be part of bridal party. At that time I was at my unhealthiest, not just with a 13 A1C but I was also suffering from extreme obesity and depression. Over the past 8 years, I have lost over 80 pounds with the help of self care, yoga (teacher certification in 2018), and an enthusiasm for cannabis. My healthcare professional support system includes weekly therapy and medicines, yoga, clean eating, and cannabis; my A1C is now 6.8. Self care is my everyday way of living especially suffering from anxiety during these past 2 years after being laid off after an 11 year tenure with a large corporation. I am lucky to be involved in a yoga tribe where we not just practice our yoga, mediation, and get stoned but we look inside ourselves with how to better our lives and those around us through cannabis education.”
