ABAI 2026 was a huge success for Team PBS! 👏
We had a fantastic time at this year's ABAI with our team! Connecting with fellow providers and learning from other leaders in the field is always a reminder of why we do the work that we do in the ABA field.
We also had the opportunity to hear from our Founder/Owner, Dr. Michael Nolan, our Clinical Operations Vice President, Moniek Wilson, and Autism Advocate and Mother, Reilly Pelkey.
We're already excited for next year! 🙌
Take each session one wave at a time 🌊🏄
Tricia LaChance, Team PBS Broward Analyst & PBS Ethics Committee shares:
"The field of behavior analysis is constantly evolving. Embrace opportunities to learn, grow, and improve. If you don’t know the answer to something, that’s okay—ask, and learn from those with more experience. Being Humble: No one knows everything, and that’s a beautiful thing. A humble approach to your practice allows you to remain open to feedback, be receptive to new ideas, and engage in continuous improvement. It encourages you to learn from each experience and each individual you serve."

Anddddd too late 🥲🫠😬
For some learners, specific words or phrases may be connected to past experiences, denied access, or transitions. This is why knowing a client’s triggers and staying mindful of language during session matters.
Mary E. McDonald, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA, with Hofstra University/Eden II Genesis Programs, writes that trigger words can sometimes act as real antecedents for problem behavior in ABA.
