Cowboy Racing

SAE- Society of Automotive Engineers There is an acceleration test, a a progressive pull, suspension and a maneuverability course. We are one of them.

We (Oklahoma State University Baja) not only design, but build and test a scaled down version of a standard Baja 1000 Dune buggy. The next day: A 4 hour endurance race designed to tear into your frame. There are 6+ ft high jumps, 4 by 4 studs sticking out the ground, tree stumps, concrete slabs, mud pits, railroad ties, and non-Okstate Baja vehicles in the way...the list grows every year
That's only the on land competition. There are 141 Baja teams in this competition.

We passed tech inspection today! Also, our team got 40 out of 50 points on the sales presentation. That's a top 20 finish at least. We will know our exact rankings in a few days.
