Want to shout out all the moms/parents who celebrate today. Mom/parent work is work and we are proud of you.

To ramble on: The folks who take on the emotional labor of going low waste and living sustainably are usually women/femme identifying folks (especially in heteronormative relationship). They do this along with managing parenting and holding other jobs. We want to thank you for that “extra” you do for the earth, your family and our local business.

Also, all affirmations on my first tile job are appreciated. It was my Mother’s Day goal to finish before wine.

Meet the Maker!
My name is Alesia Hall, and I am the founder, primary owner, and master crafter of Sea Witch Botanicals. In partnership with my husband Jhustin and mother-in-law Cat, this operation has grown from a personal passion to a Certified Vegan B Corporation, a member of 1% For The Planet and Toward Zero Waste that offers home and body products with no synthetic ingredients and all recyclable and compostable packaging. This company is my love song to my own body, to the planet, and to you.

My interest in sustainable plant magic began in the spa industry after working as a massage therapist, aromatherapist, makeup artist, and soapmaker. I discovered a love for teaching natural diy recipes while working at the soap shop, helping other people navigate naturally and holistically through a toxic world. In fact, my own scent and skin sensitivities are what led me to the personal research that inspired this totally plant-based and synthetic-free line of products! Everything I make is designed first for myself, tested on myself, my loving husband, or lucky friends (the human kind - never animals), and made available only if it meets my exacting criteria for luxury and sustainability. If it's not good enough for me, it's not good enough for you!

We are humbled and grateful our KIVA fundraising only took a week! Funds are coming through and we will be putting in a kitchen area at @1008maincoop .

This space will serve as a classroom, maker space, wholesale production, and after hours hang out spot!

Did you know we offer certified organic essential oil scents?

We find this the most low waste way to shop. You reuse the same container, but you can rotate through various flavors. Lyn here is using @pranarom_usa essential oil to scent a recycled mason jar filled with hand soap.

@tomorrowriverhomestead gets all sorts of scents in their reusable contianers to make their bnb smelling unique in each room.

A loan to Rubina

Process is growing "with a little help from our friends" (and strangers alike). Contribute a loan to our KIVA campaign to help us make our dream of a new kitchen space in our downtown store possible.

What do Lyn and this TP have in common? They're both strong, reliable, and like butts (let's be real, who doesn't?). We've had some good runs with these little friends, but it's time to get off the pot, wipe the slate clean, and try something new.

Okay, I'm done with poorly constructed toilet puns now. Here's the scoop - we are clearancing out our old TP to make room for @betterway , our new BFFs. If you want to party like it's March 2020 and stock up on this toilet paper, hurry in while we still have some!

Sundays are made for curling up in the back of a bookstore. Luckily we have one at 1008 Main Street Cooperative . We are so grateful to share this space with Bound to Happen Books They also carry low waste books too! So if you need some goods tips, we have them.

I still cannot get over what an amazing job John Kowalczyk did on this mural. I guess one of the perks of working late late is being able to get a pic without any cars. Did you know this is hanging out behind the store? You have to see it in person, my poorly lit cellphone pic doesn't do it justice.
