Hey moms!! Life is busy, so we try to make it a little easier on you 😉. Shop in store at Adeline's Closet Boutique in Amherst, or online and pick up your purchase, or have it shipped.

We have a lot of great local shops/small businesses in the area!

What are your favorite shops? I’m partial to Amherst and I love The Village Hive - Bakery and Local Foods Collective, Stepping Stone Salon and Day Spa for unique gifts and a massage! Fleming’s Cafe. Near Amherst I love to shop at Country Chic Boutique in Scandinavia, and Skis Meat Market, Antique Up - Stevens Point and Process general store.

Today's Business Spotlight introduces 2 of Downtown Stevens Point's newest member businesses. They are mission driven businesses, and both in the same great location! Meet Process and Bound to Happen Books.

Process is a low waste shop selling home goods and personal care items. They offer bulk, refill and sustainable packaging for each thoughtful item. 🛍

Bound to Happen is a bookstore offering newly published and printed books, with an emphasis on authors, stories, and experiences not represented in mainstream literature.
Community Centered, Justice Driven. 📚

Support both of these new Downtown Stevens Point businesses and members by walking through one door 🚪 at 1008 Main Street!
🚙Renee and I have been running all over town picking up goodies for our Wellness Pursuit peeps.

Here, I have notebooks for the participants. For note taking, doodles, writing down a new friend’s number like in a yearbook ✍🏼 Whatever they like. They came from Process in downtown StePo.

Thanks for hooking us up! 🙌🏼💯

I also picked up coupons from the The Market on Strongs and a piece of the raffle prize I’m building in behalf of Blu Bird Yoga #shoplocal
Happy New Year, everybody!
Looking back at some highlights from 2021:

- Jef Schobert of the Snow Art Zone created a Curbwise LLC snow sculpture (with Trevor chillin').
- Had some nice news/media features on WSAW NewsChannel 7 w/ Drew Sutherland WSAW, USA Today Network / Stevens Point Journal w/ Keith Uhlig (photo by Tork Mason), Stevens Point City Times/Portage County Gazette w/ Taylor John Hale, Hunger Task Force, Inc. w/ Zachary Staszewski, and Common Roots Rising w/ Mark Gehrke.
- A new seasonal pale ale called Pedal On!!! was created in likeless of curbwise. Thanks District 1 Brewing Company for this creative & reslient beverage and supporting my biz!
- Thanks to Rudy Rack for sponsoring w/ metal parts and collaboration.
- Thanks to Hostel Shoppe for sponsoring with winter tires for the trike and sweet deals on gear. Plus, a shout out to Scott Cole for making this happen and pedaling tips!
- Worked with phenomenal videographer, Alex Grant, to produce the curbwise promo video. Thank you, Alex, for your skills and talent!
- Developed 22 new delivery partnerships with local business/farms/orgs: Meet the Herb Halfway, LLC, Zest Bakery and Coffeehouse, Whitefeather Organics, Liberation Farmers, Cattail Organics, Kindred Spirit Books, Mission Coffee House, Assembly Shop, Diversi-Tea LLC, AGORA Makers Market, Rising Sand Organics, Lonely Oak Farm, Process & Bound to Happen Books, FoodWise Portage/Wood Counties, UW-Madison Division of Extension, Hunger Task Force, Inc., in collaboration w/ Aging & Disability Resource Center of Portage County, Stevens Point Housing Authority, Produce Point, Tapped Maple Syrup, Segura & Sons Mushroom Farm, & Emy J's Coffeehouse
- Through hard work, networking, and building relationships, we became 1 of 4 finalists of the Surge biz incubator program through CREATE Portage County & Prevail Bank.
- Expanded delivery operations to include respite deliveries, grocery deliveries from non-partners/individuals, food assistance through the City/County/State, and curbside compost pickups.
- Offset over 1 metric ton of CO2 through over 890 deliveries - Based on the # of replacement miles pedaled (and EPA calculation of 404 grams CO2/mi). Yahoooooooo!

There are many other thanks that are part of our successes, but none more important than all of the wonderful and supportive customers ordering Curbwise LLC for delivery. THANK YOU for a very successful 2021!

Here's to 2022 and many more years of 'Delivery, cranked out.'

Another ribbon-cutting 🎀✂️ from the Portage County Business Council, Inc. at our new Downtown Stevens Point member businesses Process and Bound to Happen Books!

Have you visited them yet? They are two wonderful, complementary mission-driven stores sharing the same real estate and they have already added so much life and passion to our Downtown culture 🤩

Stop by and show them some ❤️, and thanks again to the PCBC for giving such important visibility to our Central Wisconsin small businesses!
Greetings to everyone,

If you are into low waste products or want a change of lifestyle you really might want to Check them Process.

They also have Curbwise which is curbside bike delivery which is pretty neat!!

Process is a low waste shop selling home goods and personal care items. We offer bulk, refill and sustainable packaging for each thoughtful item we carry.

Operating as usual

Want to shout out all the moms/parents who celebrate today. Mom/parent work is work and we are proud of you.

To ramble on: The folks who take on the emotional labor of going low waste and living sustainably are usually women/femme identifying folks (especially in heteronormative relationship). They do this along with managing parenting and holding other jobs. We want to thank you for that “extra” you do for the earth, your family and our local business.

Also, all affirmations on my first tile job are appreciated. It was my Mother’s Day goal to finish before wine.

XOXOXOXOX 😘 @theirnameis_rue

I need y'all to know that only the first photo was staged. The rest are @theirnameis_rue actually reacting to cutting tile for the first time. And I didn't even post the misting embarrassing photos.

Btw kitchen space coming soon, come check it out

Been thinking about you and how much you’ve grown 🥰 🌱

A story in three bites. If you had @mamaeldas you'd understand - get your butts over there and dive into some queso.

If you love the #hibar hair care bars then you’ll love these new face wash bars cause they are cute to look at and put close to your face with no waste.

"look like you confidently know what you're doing" was the prompt. I think Rue nailed it 😂 the kitchen space is coming together! Sorry in advance as we do some rearranging and construction - life is dusty sometimes and our store is no different.

We absolutely love these fake mustaches we got from @buerstenhaus.redecker - they are perfect for Halloween costumes, gender affirming outfits, and all other reasons you might need a mustache!

Wait, what's that? These aren't mustaches? They're snow brushes? Oh, well, whatever floats your boat. No matter how you use it, we're running a sale! Get these brushtaches for 35% off for a limited time!

Meet the Maker!
My name is Alesia Hall, and I am the founder, primary owner, and master crafter of Sea Witch Botanicals. In partnership with my husband Jhustin and mother-in-law Cat, this operation has grown from a personal passion to a Certified Vegan B Corporation, a member of 1% For The Planet and Toward Zero Waste that offers home and body products with no synthetic ingredients and all recyclable and compostable packaging. This company is my love song to my own body, to the planet, and to you.

My interest in sustainable plant magic began in the spa industry after working as a massage therapist, aromatherapist, makeup artist, and soapmaker. I discovered a love for teaching natural diy recipes while working at the soap shop, helping other people navigate naturally and holistically through a toxic world. In fact, my own scent and skin sensitivities are what led me to the personal research that inspired this totally plant-based and synthetic-free line of products! Everything I make is designed first for myself, tested on myself, my loving husband, or lucky friends (the human kind - never animals), and made available only if it meets my exacting criteria for luxury and sustainability. If it's not good enough for me, it's not good enough for you!

We are humbled and grateful our KIVA fundraising only took a week! Funds are coming through and we will be putting in a kitchen area at @1008maincoop .

This space will serve as a classroom, maker space, wholesale production, and after hours hang out spot!

Have any leads on used kitchen sinks and counters, @theirnameis_rue is on the search!!!

Here is Lyn, Rue and Sheena celebrating outside our downtown storefront!

Thanks @specatular and @theirnameis_rue for tag teaming the last minute photo session. 🥰

Contribute to our KIVA loan to help us put in a kitchen space in the @1008maincoop. We are crowdsourcing through KIVA for a 0% interest loan where you get paid back over the next 3.5 years!
WE ARE ALMOST HALFWAY! I would say over half those are from people around the world. We would love to see our community invest so we can invest back in you. Have questions? Read our story on our kiva profile from our stories!

Photos from Process's post 01/27/2022

Did you know we offer certified organic essential oil scents?

We find this the most low waste way to shop. You reuse the same container, but you can rotate through various flavors. Lyn here is using @pranarom_usa essential oil to scent a recycled mason jar filled with hand soap.

@tomorrowriverhomestead gets all sorts of scents in their reusable contianers to make their bnb smelling unique in each room.

A loan to Rubina

Process is growing "with a little help from our friends" (and strangers alike). Contribute a loan to our KIVA campaign to help us make our dream of a new kitchen space in our downtown store possible.

KIVA Loans? It's a crowdsourced, 0% interest free loan that helps businesses like ours level up. It's a really amazing site and we have had loans from folks all over the world coming in.

How it works? Make a profile and lend $25-500 to be paid back over 3.5 years.

For what? Read more about our plans on our profile!

A loan to Rubina A loan of $8,000 helps a low waste shop facilitate workshops for the community.

Thanks for sharing such informative recycling info. Grateful for Portage County Solid Waste FB page!!!

Pumps are recyclable if left in plastic bottles. Empty, rinse, recap, recycle.

Meet the Maker: Modern Makers! We are so excited to introduce scented lotions, soaps and room spritzers from this midwest home and body vendor!

What do Lyn and this TP have in common? They're both strong, reliable, and like butts (let's be real, who doesn't?). We've had some good runs with these little friends, but it's time to get off the pot, wipe the slate clean, and try something new.

Okay, I'm done with poorly constructed toilet puns now. Here's the scoop - we are clearancing out our old TP to make room for @betterway , our new BFFs. If you want to party like it's March 2020 and stock up on this toilet paper, hurry in while we still have some!

These plants are the true survivors, tbh. Channel your inner Reba and pick up one of these babies - we have plants in Leca, cute little succulents, and some massive staghorn ferns. All on sale for January!

Going zero waste is a lot of work. Most of it is falling to women. 12/30/2021

Going zero waste is a lot of work. Most of it is falling to women.

Curious what we are thinking about in the New Year? This articles tackles some of our wandering thoughts:

Going zero waste is a lot of work. Most of it is falling to women. The zero-waste movement is about cutting down on packaging, but is it creating more pressure on women?

A boring holiday hours post - but a not boring reminder that we're hanging out today and tomorrow until 8 pm! Knock your last minute shopping out of the park with us and Bound to Happen Books

We are so excited to learn from Kaitlyn of the The Cloth Option tonight! Stop by at 5 pm to learn more, and RSVP at our FB event!

We are grateful for two things:
1.) YOU
2.) Days Off!
Thursday 11/25 Closed
Friday 11/26 10-6
Saturday 11/27 #smallbusinesssaturday
Saturday 11/27 AMHERST FINAL POP UP (snacks, kits and a workshops) 9-1
Saturday 11/27 Drag Story Hour with @boundtohappen_books

This is a short stack of books our friends @boundtohappen_books recommend if you're feeling uncertain and hurt by the verdict with the Rittenhouse trial. Make sure your advocacy moves beyond the page, though - it's easy to feel like we're doing something when we read a book or learn something new, but we have to take that energy and do something with it. Otherwise, it's just self-serving. Find your community orgs, talk with people you know, organize.

Can we be the next Ikea? Like, take your new relationship to Process and see if you make it through the store still a couple.

I'm laughing out loud. haha. But in all seriousness we are open 7 days a week so stop in and say hi.

These cutie soap cubes are a top fave with customers right now.
• No need to commit to one scent in a huge bar that will last forever
• Great for gifts
• Pocket size...

Okay maybe don't put it in your pocket.

Brush up on your dishwashing skills with one our dozen kitchen brushes and our Process made solid dish soap.

Gear up for messy weather! We have a few of these coconut brush boot scrapers. Out our door to your door. :)

Sundays are made for curling up in the back of a bookstore. Luckily we have one at 1008 Main Street Cooperative . We are so grateful to share this space with Bound to Happen Books They also carry low waste books too! So if you need some goods tips, we have them.

I still cannot get over what an amazing job John Kowalczyk did on this mural. I guess one of the perks of working late late is being able to get a pic without any cars. Did you know this is hanging out behind the store? You have to see it in person, my poorly lit cellphone pic doesn't do it justice.

#stevenspoint #stevenspointarea #shopindie #shopwi #uwsp #centralwi #wisconsin

Did you know we have a store front?

We are located at Tomorrow River Homestead in Nelsonville, WI. This quaint shop is accessible from the front porch. Folks can shop in our store one customer at a time.

How does it work?
