We went from Local to National level this year - 60 teams from all over the country played a total of 102 games in 4 days across 18 cricket fields in Maryland and Virginia.

Anand Patel
We are thankful to Anand Patel and his brand, Huntington Learning Center of Gambrills for his generous sponsorship towards conducting the Capital Youth Cricket Championships (CYCC) this year. Anand Patel is also currently the president of the Washington Cricket League (WCL), which is a top cricket league in the DMV area. In this capacity, Anand has continuously supported the development of youth cricket in this region. WCL organizes a youth cricket tournament during the Memorial Day long weekend every year which is very well represented. CYCC 2021 was a huge success!!
We went from Local to National level this year.
60 teams from all over the country played a total of 102 games in 4 days across 18 cricket fields in Maryland and Virginia.
From the usual issues (drop outs, logistical challenges, rainy day) to moving two games in session to different fields in less than an hour, we have seen it all.
We ensured that no game was abandoned or forfeited.
We made sure that we offered the best youth cricketing tournament in the DMV area. It was a mammoth task and was only possible due to the tireless work of our volunteers.

Future Stars School of Cricket's opener and wicket keeper Govind Mohandas tops the player rankings and batting (and fielding) charts in MYCA Spring 2021 U15 season!

632 runs in 7 innings with 2 centuries (HS 267 not out) and 3 50's at an average of 126.40 at a strike rate 174.59 (both average and strike rate highest on the table). Govind grabbed 4 MOM awards out of the 8 matches as well with his stellar performance. Congratulations, Govind. Keep winning for the team and good luck for the rest of the season!!!
