Exciting news for local talent! We're holding auditions for "Steal Away," a delightful comedy set in Chicago during the Great Depression! Join us at Sterling Community Center on December 5 & 6 from 7-9 PM.

We're looking for six African American women aged 20s to 50+ with great mobility (singing skills a plus)! All roles are unpaid.

Performances will be on March 7-8 & 14-15, 2025.

Betsy enjoys being evil onstage. She was last seen in Much Ado About Nothing as Borachio, and in Macbeth as one of the three witches. Her favorite roles are ones where she gets to be dramatic and wear a cape so this has been a DELIGHT. She'd like to thank Marc for running lines, making dinner and also marrying her recently ❤️

Claire is so thrilled to be back with the Sterling Playmakers! Previous shows include Jack and Jill and the Witching Well (STC), Much Ado About Nothing (SP), How to Succeed In Business... (SP), Beauty and the Beast (SP), and Mary Poppins (Pickwick Players). Claire is also an interior designer, a princess party performer, a Disneybounder, and a mermaid. SLEEPING BEAUTY: ONCE UPON A TIME

Thomas, a junior, is thrilled to debut with Sterling Playmakers as Brutus the guard. He’s previously acted in original productions with A Place to Be in Middleburg, including Bigfoot, Stink, Holy Cow, Things are Looking Up, Human Tales, and the short film The Neighbor. Thomas also enjoys working as an alien and mad scientist at Cox Farms. He thanks his friends and family for their support — and thinks Elvis is pretty cool!

Community Theatre | Sterling Playmakers | United States Home of the Sterling Playmakers, a non-profit, family-friendly community theatre group serving communities in the greater Sterling area and throughout Loudoun County, Virginia.

SLEEPING BEAUTY: ONCE UPON A TIME

It’s a fairy tale come true for Brenda to be part of this magical musical, in her first role with Sterling Playmakers. She previously appeared in Sense and Sensibility, Miracle on 34th Street, and Cinderella (all with GCP). After a long career in human resources, she’s grateful for this second act and her newfound theater buddies. Thanks to her family and friends and her supportive husband, who is running the lights for all six shows.
