Loudoun Literacy Council
Loudoun Literacy Council is a community based literacy organization. Our classes and programs are available to all who reside or work in Loudoun County.
Loudoun Literacy Council recruits and trains volunteers to teach adults, both native-speakers and speakers of other languages, to read, write, speak, and understand English. For children, we provide early literacy enrichment for at-risk preschool children and children who reside in our local homeless shelters, while supporting their parents as their child's first teacher.

We are having a Toy Drive and collecting toys that vary from Play Doh to Lego sets until December 14th! πThis was a super exciting event for Loudoun Literacy Council as it was our first Jobsite Literacy class at a hotel! Thank you to Home2 Suites by Hilton in Leesburg for hosting this event where we were able to learn about improving employee communication and language skills! Since 1980, Loudoun Literacy Council has been providing low-income adults and children with the literacy proficiency, communications skills, and personal confidence to not only attain self-sufficiency but also thrive in Loudoun County. We recruit and train volunteers to teach adults, both native speakers and speakers of other languages, to read, write, speak, and understand English.
