Ronnie and a few of his golf buddies out on the golf course Friday to show their support for the Veterans Next Mission 2021 Charity Golf Tournament. A huge shoutout to Veterans Next Mission! Thank you for helping our local Veterans transition into their next mission!
More fun with compositing. Image and background shot at a charity golf tournament last September. Sgt. Ron Shurer (Medal of Honor recipient, sadly deceased) and 3X Super Bowl Champion Jeff Bostic with the Mission BBQ crew.

*Removed post shared from Instagram, for some reason it came over very flat looking.

This was done as a gift to MISSION BBQ in appreciation for their support of Veterans Next Mission.
From our partners at Veterans Next Mission:

We are looking for military spouses who would like to help us reorganize our new office location. For over three years, as we have taught Veterans construction skills, we have deconstructed many homes collecting their contents along the way.

Now we are consolidating everything into one facility and will be creating a store such as a RESTORE or Habitat for Humanity type project.

We need help! As a nonprofit that serves Veterans, we like to offer first dibs to our military spouses, and of course friends or older children are welcome. We are a semi-construction mess, and I’d need to preclude anyone under the age of 18 at this time until the area has been cleared.

We need someone with social media savvy skills / web skills to help post items and sell on various FB marketplace sites. And we are developing an online storefront interface as well.

I’m loving it; it’s hard work, but we need help!

Hours are flexible. If you have someone willing to make an appointment for pick-up, we can socially distance well and coordinate efforts to reduce time in the office.

Each candidate needs to be able to safely lift 50lbs and not be afraid to get dirty - at least in the beginning!

Check out our website www.veteransnextmission.org, and email me at [email protected].

Volunteer opportunities have the potential to meld into active employment.
Do you love antiques? Vintage items? Need to redo cabinets in a rental property or have a DIY project still lacking that one final piece to make it complete?

We might just have it!

Veterans Next Mission announces the "soft opening" of its resell store - Veteran's Vintage!

Over the years - through our deconstruction projects, we have collected thousands of cool items: doors, antique windows, HVAC systems, washers, dryers, fridges, old handmade mantels, vintage books, typewriters, military memorabilia, antique toys, cabinets, countertops, sinks, and much, much more!

If you are interested, or if you know someone who is looking for any house old/decor/vintage items - please send them our way! Email Amy for more information: [email protected].

Come shop at Veteran's Vintage! *By appointment only due to COVID-19 and limited capacity for the health and safety of you and our staff.
I know a Korean war veteran he’s 88 years old he needs help retrofitting his bathroom so it’s safe for him to use is there any information or phone number that I can contact to get help for him

We're excited to share a community partner - Veterans Next Mission signed a lease on 44845 Falcon Place, Suite #105-106, Sterling, VA 20166 and is now an official resident of Loudoun County as of 15 May 2020!

They will be making the move over the next month. Their suites will be multi-fold functioning serving as administrative offices, retail storefront of items donated to via deconstruction projects (think Habitat for Humanity type store), as well as a shop to employ service related injured veterans who may not otherwise be able to work on job-sites but could build furniture and do woodworking onsite.

Congrats to the team!
I spoke with the VNM team at the Home Show at the Dulles Expo Center last fall and included them in the final three contractors we interviewed and received estimates for renovating two of our bathrooms. I was very impressed with the VNM mission of training our former servicemen and women in the home building trade. As the prices were within our budget range we decided to go with VNM because I beliee in their mission. We understood that Bob Luckett and his master craftsmen are training the apprentices at the same time. Throughout the job, Bob was available, managing the work, and ensuring that everything met our requirements. His team was terrific - showing up for work, prepared and enthusiastic. VNM accommodated several requests and changes throughout the project with a very professional and positive attitude, including widening the master shower, adding vent fans and glass shower doors. VNM was very flexible providing us multiple options to pick out our faucets, lights, medicine cabinets, tile and paint. The subcontractors they did use (plumbing and tiling) were exceptionally talented and efficient. The before and after pictures below highlight their craftsmanship - we are very happy with the results and look forward to working with VNM in the future, perhaps even as a volunteer!

BEFORE and AFTER. What a great build for some truly great customers! After leveling their screened porch and adding new posts and footers we moved on to the deck which ended up requiring a complete rebuild. They chose Fiberon composite decking gray "Beach House" finish with white CountrySide railing. What a beautiful result!

A pair of decks for some truly great customers in Manassas. One covered and one uncovered. Their home sits atop a beautiful property that slopes down to the Occoquan River and offers some fantastic views. These are the "nearly finished" photos. What an incredible setting for morning coffee or evening sunsets. They even opted for the natural, pressure-treated material over composite which only adds to the beauty! Gotta love this build.

Just built this HUGE, beautiful covered patio for a family in Leesburg, VA. A great addition to an already fantastic backyard complete with pool. Check out the 100+ year old beams in the ceiling. We salvaged those beams from an old schoolhouse that we deconstructed in Catonsville, MD.

This customer asked for our help in leveling this 20 year old screened porch which is sinking in the front. This is Bryan (U.S. Marines). Under Bob's instruction he is exposing the posts so that we can dig down 4 feet and pour new concrete footings. We'll make it level again.
"After" pics to follow.

Unfortunately, due to undesirable flying weather conditions, the flyover was cancelled indefinitely. Many thanks to Arsenal of Democracy Flyover for their attempts to bring us a memorial event.

Safety first! But we appreciate their keeping these planes in flying shape after all these years! Outstanding!
