Aretech offers four BWS systems for overground or on the treadmill! ZeroG for overground training along a track. ZeroG 3D for overground training in a 3-dimensional workspace. Ovation for interactive treadmill training for patients up to 700 lbs. And finally, Luminaire for treadmill training for smaller spaces and budgets!

Community Healthcare System in Munster, Indiana is using Aretech’s Ovation Interactive Treadmill System for gait training with patients up to 700 lbs. Louie Perea is one of their patients who is using Ovation to regain strength and get accustomed to his prosthetic leg.

With Ovation, patients are protected from falls while watching a high resolution screen to visualize walking through the forest while monitoring heart rate, calories and intervals.

Aretech offers a wide variety of harness sizes, including a toddler size. It isn’t just a scaled down version of our adult harnesses but designed with small kids in mind. Our Ovation Interactive Treadmill System has dynamic body-weight support and fall protection for patients up to 700 pounds! The Launchpad has a 1,000 pound capacity and raises and lowers to assist those using wheelchairs to get onto the treadmill deck. On March 6, 2023, Francis “Tito” Vigan, a personal trainer and nutrition coach, experienced a rare stroke in his spinal cord. He was transferred to Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, NE for their specialized spinal cord injury program where he used Aretech’s ZeroG Gait and Balance System in his recovery. Using ZeroG, he was able to walk and participate in exercises like high knees and lunges. With his determination and hard work, he was recently cleared to return to the gym!

Have you ever wondered how ZeroG got its start? Back in 2004, Aretech’s CEO, Dr. Joe Hidler, was awarded a grant from the US Military to create the ‘perfect’ therapy tool to help injured veterans returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. This was the original ZeroG body-weight support concept. We’ve sure come a long way since then!

The new Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital is opening in this summer in Center Valley, PA with a new ZeroG Gait and Balance System!

The therapy team at Centre qap was just trained on their new ZeroG! Centre qap treats babies, children and adolescents up to age 20 who need developmental support or specialized rehabilitation. This is our first installation of ZeroG in a pediatric center in Switzerland!

Doctors gave Luke Louden a slim chance of walking again after a car crash in August 2020. He suffered a broken back and neck, alongside multiple serious leg injuries. He became the first patient at the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit in Glasgow, Scotland to use Aretech’s ZeroG Gait and Balance System.

He went from being barely able to move, to walking 20 meters, to a record walk of 57 meters in ZeroG!

Luke’s dream is to walk his daughters down the aisle in the future. With a little help from ZeroG and a lot of hard work he is determined to keep advancing in his recovery in order to meet that goal!

The University of Kentucky's Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department in Lexington is the proud owner of THREE ZeroG robots, all on the same track! Although we’ve installed two robots on the same track before, this is the first time we’ve had the opportunity to install three!

It has been wonderful attending in-person conferences this fall! We recently exhibited at the AMRPA Fall Conference in St. Louis and had a great time seeing everyone again!

We’ve moved!

After 9 years in our last space, things became a bit tight. The last 2 weeks have been a whirlwind getting moved and settled in. We’re finally here in our new headquarters ready to hit the ground running with many more years of innovation!

We have some happy news to share!

Some of you may remember David’s story. His foot was crushed when a forklift fell on it in October 2019. We are pleased to report that 967 days after his accident, he went back to work this week! We are so thrilled to see his progress and wish he and his family all the best in his continued recovery!
