As we enter into this long weekend that starts the summer, let's remember and honor those who served.
It was a rainy Wednesday but the golfing went on at Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club in Leesburg for the Belfor of Northern Virginia Golf Tournament. We staffed the Putting Contest which was won by a hole-in-one. Great day, great food and great guests!
Finished up the fourth visit last night to Fairfax County Department of Public Safety Communications to cover meals for 120 personel. I missed the alpaca visit but will try to coordinate better next year. Thank you all for everything you do in helping the public by being the FIRST first responder!
So happy to provide breakfast and dinner for 30 to two of the four shifts at Fairfax County Department of Public Safety Communications yesterday during National Telecommunicators Week. Not enough recognition goes out to these individuals for the hard work they do. Thanks to Director of 9-1-1 Scott Brillman and Assistant Director of Operations Dru Clarke for their hospitality on my visit. See you tomorrow for another round of breakfasts and dinners!
Remembering Technician I Kyle Wilson
Today marks the 17th anniversary of the Line of Duty Death of Technician I Kyle Wilson. The memory of Kyle and the impact he made on our Department as well as the fire service throughout the country is in the forefront of our thoughts. We were fortunate enough to know and have Kyle as a brother firefighter, even for the short time he was with us. The sacrifice that he made on this day will never be forgotten. Please keep Kyle and the entire Wilson family in your thoughts and prayers today.
We had a car into a house Saturday morning in Woodbridge. The occupants of the house were out of town and reached out to us to handle their board up so the house could be secure and weather tight on their arrival home.
Last firefighter injured in fatal Sterling house explosion returns home After spending more than a month at the Burn Center at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Sterling Volunteer Firefighter Brian Diamond returned home Wednesday.

Does the emergency stop for involved parties after the last unit clears the scene. Chief Brunacini didn't think so and you shouldn't either.
Why You Should Consider A 4th Incident Priority As Chief Officers, we should consider a 4th incident priority. Life Safety, Incident Stabilization & Property conservation are all ingrained into every fire officer on a fire scene, and it is important to follow these priorities. But, what happens to our citizens after the fire is out? Who is there....
Thank you friends from 1-800-BoardUp of Northern Virginia for visiting our center last week & bringing lunches for everyone!
1-800-BoardUp of Northern Virginia visited Prince William County 911 Communications to celebrate First Responders Week with the responders who are first in the chain.
