One of the most popular events my students like to be part of is NVMTA Sonata festival/competition. Roughly 800 students play during one day. Forty get selected as winners and are invited to play at the Honor Recital. Eleven young musicians from my studio participated, five were selected to play on a second round. Maya Ning was announced as a winner. This a recording from Honor Recital! Congratulations Maya!

This is a video from some time ago. Shilai, my former sudent, did a wonderful job playing third movement of the Edwards Concerto No. 2 in G. Time sure does fly. Shilai is now a freshman at Princeton university!
