Restoring Classic Cars
Operating as usual
Started on the bug today. Sending the engine off for a rebuild
Sometimes you have to let one go so you can make room for another one. 73 international sold 71 Bug in.
The new engine in the Jeep blew up with only 9300 miles on it. Now putting engine #3 in. Ugh!
I haven’t posted In awhile. Latest projects have been electrical issues on the Jeep. Installed new computer and injector wiring harness.Sounds easy but it was almost two months of chasing issue and had to build harness because you can’t buy one.Helped a friend replace exhaust on fiat, and getting a friends 77 diesel land cruiser up and going. It’s hard to get parts for this thing! It was imported from Costa Rica. Also installed a 2” leveling kit on the Silverado.
Man we should have kept our treadmill.
Here’s my latest project I did this winter. 2001 Jeep Cherokee. New motor.
Headed to the muffler shop for some modifications.
When people ask me if the Camaro is done.
More progress on the Camaro
It’s been 5 weeks since I have worked in the shop. Glad to be back at it. How can you not like hanging out with American muscle?
More progress on the engine/trans swap. I like when it's time to start putting things back together
Started the Camaro engine swap this past weekend
99.9% Done!! Now onto the engine swap
Good day in the shop. Put the front clip back on. Starting to really look like a truck again. Hopefully not much longer until it sees the road. It's been over 2 years.
Haven't posted in awhile but truck is slowly coming along. The wood in the bed was repurposed from the barn. The wood is 98 years old. I thought it was kind of cool to incorporate it into the build.
It's real!!!! :P
Starting to come together
Engine and tranny are back on the frame. So glad to get this done over the last two evenings. Special thanks to Blake Todd for helping me out!
Well now that the camaro is on "hold" I'm back to the 1966 GMC C10. Sanded and painted the frame this weekend. I hope to have the engine and tranny back in this week. Stay tuned!
Far from being done but I couldn't resist putting the new wheels on Jean Todd's Camaro. Amazing how wheels change a car.
Is it weird to get excited over a tire tread? Bad ass Cooper tires going on Jean Todd's 81 Camaro
Turned a 1990 K5 Blazer into a 1981 Camaro today! Not a bad trade. Title for Title
Before and after on the engine for the 66 GMC. Almost back together.
New roof coating today. May need to buy a new pair of sunglasses.
Here's the next project. Time to get the 66 back on the road.
The 51 Ford is officially back on the road!
Headed to the exhaust shop this morning.
