Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and heroism of those who fought on D-Day, June 6, 1944.

Thousands of brave men risked everything on the beaches of Normandy to defend freedom, democracy, and the values we continue to cherish today. Their sacrifice changed the course of history and reminds us that freedom is never free.

Let us never forget their courage and let us continue working together to protect the freedoms we pass on to our children.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. We remember our heroes and stand proud to be Americans. 🇺🇸

For me, this day is especially meaningful because I also honor my father, a hero who sacrificed his life for freedom and democracy during the Kosovo War in 1999. His bravery and the sacrifice of so many others will always live in my heart.

Heartbroken by the tragic explosion at the Staten Island shipyard that took the life of at least one civilian and left many others injured.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased during this incredibly difficult time. Wishing a fast and full recovery to all those injured, especially our brave FDNY and EMS heroes who always put themselves in harm’s way to protect others.

Staten Island stands together in times like these. 🙏

Today, I stood together with faith leaders, clergy,NYPD and community members at Staten Island Borough Hall in an important Interfaith Press Conference hosted by Borough President Vito Fossella.In times of tragedy, like the heartbreaking shooting in San Diego, we must come together in unity to stand against hatred, violence, and division.

Our prayers are with all those affected. Together, we remain stronger through faith, compassion, and community.

Had a great time as a guest speaker at the S.I.D.A. (Staten Island Democratic Association) Membership Meeting and connecting with so many amazing neighbors, community leaders, and friends. It was inspiring to be surrounded by people who truly care about making Staten Island a better and safer place for all of us.

I truly felt the love, the respect, and the support in the room. Together, by working side by side, we can continue building a stronger, safer, and better future for our families and community. 💙
