Starkville Area Arts Council
The SAAC serves as the premier umbrella for the multitude of arts organizations in the Starkville and MSU communities.
The Starkville Area Arts Council was formed in 1996 after a group of art-loving citizens got together and held a small arts festival in downtown Starkville. As the festival has grown and evolved, so has the SAAC,developing many other events over the years in an effort to bring the arts to the Starkville community. Our programs now include Art in the Park, Art Partners, Forks & Corks, the pumpkin p
The Visual Arts Center will be CLOSED tomorrow and Friday for the 4th of July holiday. Regular hours (10-2pm) will resume next Monday, which will be our final day at the VAC.

Our FYE2025 donation page is now LIVE! Here is our new membership structure, going into the new fiscal year.
Our annual campaign runs from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Each donation supports initiatives in two key program areas:
1) Art Education & Outreach, which includes after-school enrichment classes, summer scholarships, and community outreach like Art in the Park, and
2) The Creative Economy, which includes the Cotton District Arts Festival, Exhibits, Art Markets, and skills-based workshops that impact both artists and the community.

Last night's 2024 Annual Drive & Meeting was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!! Our donation goal for the Drive was $10,000 and we absolutely CRUSHED it with a grand total of $11,899.83 in donations and in-kind contributions!
We could not have done without our generous Patrons, our diligent Board of Directors, and our fabulous sponsors.
We'd like to once again thank the evening's sponsors Starkville State Theatre, The Del Rendon Foundation, Sweet Peppers Deli Starkville, and Mississippi State University Libraries. Another thank you to the Hep Cats for the entertainment and Libbi Havelin for the beautiful florals.
We also announced our new slate of Board Officers for FY2025, introduced our new donation structure, and gave some updates on what we've been up to and the future of SAAC (including our impending move).

Starting this fall, Proof Bakery (109 West Main Street) will be our temporary home until we find our forever location. This decision wasnât easy, but it was for the best.
Donât worry though, our regular events and programming will continue as usual, so be on the lookout for our next round of art markets, exhibitions, and workshops.
