KA Mississippi State
Uniting forum for sharing news and photos of the active Beta Tau Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order and its alumni and friends.

Four brothers from Beta Tau recently represented our chapter at the Kappa Alpha Order Emerging Leaders Academy in Lexington, Virginia. We are proud to see these young men continue our tradition of leadership, excellence, and service.

With summer here, we’re proud to showcase the internships our brothers secured through their hard work during the school year.

Brother spotlight:
Brother Hunter Broadway, a Junior in Forestry, has been elected President for both Mississippi State chapters of FireDawgs and The Society of American Foresters. During his time at State, brother Broadway has served as a CFR Ambassador and Deans Council Representative. He is also a member of the Forestry and Natural Resources Honor Society and was named to the 2024 Mississippi State University Deans List. Excelsior!

With the end of the school year right around the corner, we are excited to announce our Summer 2025 rush schedule. If you have any questions or inquiries, please reach out to our rush chair. (Starkville event moved to June 21st.)
We hope to see y’all there!

As graduation season arrives and our senior brothers prepare to walk the stage and complete their final moments at Mississippi State, we’re reminded that the impact of a KA doesn’t end at graduation.
Take it from our Beta Tau alumni—whose names now stand on some of MSU’s most iconic landmarks. Your time on campus may be coming to a close, but your legacy is just beginning.
Once a KA, always a KA.

Last week, some of our brothers gave up their evening to spend time picking up trash at our annual Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge cleanup. Thank you to those who came and we are always grateful for the opportunity to preserve God’s creation.

This past Friday, the brothers of KA hosted our annual First Responders Luncheon to honor those who serve and protect the Starkville/Oktibbeha county area. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication, hard work, and lasting impact they continually make on our community!

The brothers of KA are proud to announce our Rifle & Turtle Box Raffle, supporting The Independence Fund to provide a trackchair for a disabled veteran. Drawings will be held on April 7th. Reach out to any active member or venmo to purchase a ticket

The brothers of KA are excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual funnel fry night in conjunction with Phi Mu this coming Monday, February 24th. If you would like to buy a ticket, reach out to an active member or venmo @ KAMSU1927. We hope to see everyone there!

This past weekend, nine of our executive officers traveled to Atlanta for the KA Officer Training Conference where they connected with brothers from across the country and learned ways to continue improving our chapter.
While there, our former chapter president, Jack Edwards, received the Knight Commander’s Accolade, the highest honor a KA undergraduate can acheive.
In addition to this, Jack was also named Franterity President of the Year at the Annual Ritter Awards, hosted by Mississippi State’s Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life.
We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and leadership of our executive officers and especially to Jack Edwards for his hard work and lasting impact he has made on our chapter.

Yesterday, a handful of our brothers volunteered at the Starkville Salvation Army, spending the afternoon helping around with various tasks. Service work is very important to our chapter and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to the local community!

The Beta Tau Chapter at Mississippi State University has become a “Foundation Chapter,” donating $18.65 per man to the Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation. Foundation Chapters recognize the valuable support that the KAOEF provides to their chapter leaders and members.
