The Bachelor of Architecture program offered by the School of Architecture at Mississippi State University has been continuously accredited by NAAB since its inception, and in July 2010 the school was reaccredited for another full six-year term.

Sponsored by the American Institute of Architects, the AIA Medal of Excellence, formerly the Henry Adams Medal, is considered the most important award given to graduating students. It is awarded for “general excellence in architecture” throughout the course of study. The medal is awarded to the most qualified student, as selected by the entire faculty. MSU officials visited the MSU Fred Carl Jr. Small Town Center and Gulf Coast Community Design Studio exhibits featured in the American Pavilion at the 2025 International Venice Architectural Biennale.
Among those representing the university were, from left, Dan Reynolds, Executive Director of the International Institute; MSU Provost and Executive Vice President David Shaw; Angi Bourgeois, Dean of the College of Architecture, Art, and Design; MSU President Mark E. Keenum; Mimmo Parisi, Senior Advisor for European and Data Science Development; and David Lewis Executive Director of the Mississippi Arts Commission.

The Alpha Rho Chi Medal is awarded to the graduating student who has shown an ability for leadership, performed willing service for the school and gives promise of professional merit through attitude and personality.
