Every first-timer makes them. You do not have to.
Three mistakes to skip. One: doing something new on race day — the new gel, the new socks, the new plan. Two: going out too fast. Excitement burns fuel. Three: skipping the warm-up. Cold legs are slow legs. Save this and send it to a nervous friend. Race boldly, finish strong.
