MO Variety is a bold, grassroots circus showcase led by the wildly talented Laura Lippert — a performer known for her gravity-defying aerial work (yes, including full routines performed from her hair 👀), and appearances everywhere from Jimmy Kimmel to Circus Flora and City Museum.

Actor, dancer, acrobat, teacher, and performance artist, Laura’s work has been called “a spectacle so mesmerizing, it leaves the audience in awe.” And this is your chance to meet the creative force behind St. Louis’ newest variety show — before the curtain rises.

This month Bright & Early welcomes Muralist, Visual Artist & New York Times Bestselling Illustrator, Cbabi Bayoc and his talk An Unexpected Journey, diving into his creative path and his new work on view, Remember Me, a series of poignant portraits for The Marshall Project and STLPR.

We’re honored to host “Remember Me,” a collaborative community-centered art installation presented by and featuring six original portraits by local artist .

These vivid works honor lives lost to unsolved homicides in St. Louis—portrayed not as victims, but as loved ones full of light and promise.

This month we are honored to welcome Visual Artist, Ria Unson. Unson is a Filipino American artist living and working in St. Louis. Born in Manila, she emigrated to the United States at age 13. Ria’s award-winning work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the St. Louis region. Her most recent show was at Lambert airport’s Kling Family Gallery. Her art is in the Missouri History Museum’s permanent collection and in private collections in the Philippines and North America. Ria has been featured in local and national media, including the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, PBS NewsHour and the New York Times.

Ria, a St. Louis resident since the late 90s, recently uncovered her great grandfather’s connection to the 1904 Philippine exhibit at the World’s Fair—right where she lives! This 120-year link fuels her fascination with time and its presence in her art.

Yoro empowers underrepresented artists through visibility, mentorship, and creative collaboration.

This month we are honored to welcome Artist, Educator and Curator, Sage Dawson. Dawson’s work examines the politics of housing and labor. She founded STNDRD and co-founded the artist-run gallery space, Monaco and is a faculty member at the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts at Washington University St Louis.
