- This painting was completed during Kandinsky's final weeks at the Weimar Bauhaus before the institution relocated to Dessau in 1925 due to political pressures.
Kandinsky experienced synesthesia, a condition where one sense is simultaneously perceived by one or more additional senses. This allowed him to associate colors with specific sounds, influencing the rhythmic and musical qualities evident in his compositions.
He believed in the spiritual resonance of colors and forms, aiming to evoke emotions and transcendental experiences through his abstract works.
