People, I've totally enjoyed my 2018 JCW Countryman since purchasing it last July 26th. I love watching the light turn Green and then I zoom away leaving the other cars two or three blocks behind me just departing the light. I knew this car was fast, but I didn't really know how fast until yesterday evening about this time. I was following a Ford Mustang with an engine that made a lot of noise for a couple blocks. The Mustand really appeared to be about four years old, or less, and it was really hopped up. He made a right turn after a few blocks and went into the left lane. I turned right and went into the right, or slow lane. I pulled up next to him and then accelerated. I beat him to the next stop ;light. He had his window down and he told me I really had a fast car. So I told him let's get it on when the light turns Green so that we would have a fair start. The light changed and I was off instantly! When I hit 65 he was still about 20 feet behind me, but he was really accelerating. I slowed down as we were in town, but the street was not busy. I was astounded that I beat him by about 20 feet. What I really noticed for the first time is this: This car when I mash down hard on the gas, it instantly goes very fast. There was absolutely no tire spin whatsoever. That must be what they mean when they say they try and synch the engine gears, and the transmission? On my 2018 Nissan Maxima Platinum, when I step down hard on it, I get a lot of smoke and wheel spion for a couple seconds. With the JCW, there was zero spin. That's why I got the jump on the Mustang so quickly.. This is definitely one quick car. I doubt that nyone in town can beat me from zero to forty, and only a veery few can match me from zero to sixty! I can't wait until the 300 HP Countryman arrives. :-)

With below 0 temps and possible ice and snow coming this week, you have time to prepare. Some common cold weather reminders.

- Check your tires, inflate if necessary.
- Fill your tank, or fully charge (if EV) ahead of time
- Check battery life, replace if necessary
- check anti-freeze levels, check on-board computer for warnings
- Pre-condition or start your car to warm up before driving
- lock your car while warming up
- put blankets, safety kit and water in car, just in case
- clear all windows, headlights and taillights from snow/ice before driving
- Dress warm and be careful while walking and driving

FYI - Our Service & Parts Dept.'s will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 thru Monday, Dec. 26 for the Christmas Holiday.
