I'm a C5 quadriplegic since 2/7/2014 now I do marathons, triathalons, paralympic swim meets. Immediately everyone knew the seriousness of the accident.
On February 7, 2014.....A 15 year old vibrant young man named Cougar was having fun with his friends after a local high school basketball game. They were playing in the snow and jumping into the snow banks, Cougar had done a flip into the snow bank and landed on his head which caused the c5 vertebrae in his neck to break. For getting over 60 (Cougar being 1 of them) athletes and 200+ Volunteers over the finish line in 2024. And JP for sticking close as Cougar tracks assist/escort.

The first swim meet of the year went fantastic! Despite feeling terrible in practice the weeks before I managed to improve all of my times buy a few seconds! It's always a great experience going to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado for the Jimmi Flowers Classic. It's usually during a warmer time of the year, but the Sub-Zero weather certainly made it interesting. I'm looking forward to a great year of swimming!
