- MISSOURI BALLOT: HOW TO VOTE??
Missouri statewide ballot issues and recommendations by the Missouri libertarian party executive committee.

Medical Ma*****na Constitutional Amendments 2, 3 and Prop C
All of these will make medical ma*****na legal in Missouri.
Amendment 2 has a 4% sales tax, proceeds go to services for veterans. This allows individuals home cultivation of up to six plants.
Amendment 3 has a 15% sales tax, proceeds go towards setting up a research board to find cures for cancer and other diseases. Funding for Amendment 3 was provided by Dr. Brad Bradshaw, and he has appointed himself as the interim head of this research board. This does not specify home cultivation.

If both Amendment 2 and 3 pass then the one with the most votes will override the other.
Recommendation YES on 2, NO on 3.

Proposition C is legislative Ma*****na, it has a 2% sales tax, proceeds go towards veteran’s services, drug treatment, law enforcement, and education. Prop C does not allow home cultivation. Recommendation YES

Clean Missouri Constitutional Amendment 1
Changes the process for redrawing state legislative districts, limits campaign contributions, limits gifts from lobbyists, prohibit legislators from serving as a lobbyist for a period of time, prohibits fundraising on state property, opens records to the public. The new process for redrawing districts is still not ideal. However overall our Recommendation YES.

Bingo Constitutional Amendment 4
Remove language limiting bingo game advertising that a court ruled unenforceable, and allow a member of a licensed organization conducting bingo games to participate in the management of bingo games after being a member of the organization for six months instead of the current two years? Missouri LP Exec committee questions why the government needs to regulate bingo games at all. However, recommends a YES vote since this is moving in the right direction.

Minimum Wage Proposition B
Increase the state minimum wage to $8.60 per hour with 85 cents per hour increase each year until 2023, when the state minimum wage would be $12.00 per hour.
Libertarians believe, along with most reputable economists, that raising the minimum wage leads to higher unemployment. Recommendation NO .

Gas Tax Proposition D
Increases the motor fuel tax by two and one half cents per gallon annually for four years beginning July 1, 2019. Proceeds will to go to Law Enforcement, and local roads. Recommendation NO . The Missouri government already collects billions in taxes, if we want better roads and more police, then the voters need to let their representatives know so they can appropriate funds properly.
