The 41st Field Artillery Brigade marked a transition in leadership as Col. Frank Maxwell relinquished command of the brigade to Col. David Henderson.

During Col. Maxwellโ€™s tenure, the brigade advanced its role as a premier fires formation in Europe, driving modernization efforts that enhanced readiness, increased lethality and strengthened the brigadeโ€™s ability to operate in complex, multinational environments. Through persistent training, major exercises and close collaboration with NATO allies and host nation partners, the brigade expanded interoperability and reinforced the collective commitment to deterrence across the European theater.

As Col. Henderson assumes command, he inherits a formation that is ready, capable and postured for the futureโ€”one built on strong partnerships, professional excellence and a relentless commitment to delivering decisive long-range precision fires whenever and wherever called upon.

The Soldiers, families and teammates of the 41st Field Artillery Brigade thank Col. Maxwell for his dedicated leadership and lasting contributions to the brigadeโ€™s growth and success. We wish him and his family the very best in their next assignment and proudly welcome Col. Henderson and his family as they lead the brigade into its next chapter.
