Shop to support a worthy cause! ReFresh is a nonprofit resale store in the St. Louis, Missouri area that offers fashionable clothing for people of all (adult) sizes and ages. The store’s primary goal is to raise funds for children impacted by foster care, ensuring they have access to all the essentials they need. ReFresh is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition. The store’s inventory includes a vast selection of gently used designer clothing, shoes, and accessories (jewelry, scarves, belts, handbags) at affordable prices. ReFresh offers an inclusive shopping experience for all customers, regardless of their body size, gender identity, or age. By shopping at ReFresh, customers can feel good about supporting a worthy cause while looking and feeling great in their new outfits! In addition to our dedicated store director and four co-managers, ReFresh runs on the passion and generosity of volunteers. From individuals and students to families, faith groups, civic organizations, and local businesses—our volunteers are the heart of everything we do.

“This is my favorite store now. You all really know what we like to wear.” 💚✨
Yesterday, ReFresh volunteer Elizabeth welcomed a 16-year-old teen shopping at ReFresh for the first time. After explaining how the store works, Elizabeth showed them both the public sales floor and our private teen room and let them choose where they felt most comfortable shopping. They immediately chose the teen room.
With space to browse, try on clothes and find pieces that felt like their style, the teen walked away beaming and excited about everything they found.
That same day, our team shopped at Burlington for winter clothing to help stock up for teens impacted by foster care as colder weather approaches. Purchases like these are made possible in part through clothing donations that cannot be salvaged. Those items are recycled, generating funds that help us purchase new clothing and essentials.
Right now, we especially need men’s clothing, including hoodies, joggers, graphic T-shirts and athletic shoes.
Retailers and secondhand shops, consider ReFresh for overstock or excess inventory. Cleaning out your own closet? Your gently used clothing makes a real difference for a teen.
