Toxic Tuesday is officially here!
Ever taken a job where they promised you'd be part of something meaningful ... only to find out you were just there to push buttons and keep quiet?
Same, girl, same.
I’m kicking off my new blog series Playfully Toxic with a deep dive into how small and midsize companies sell the dream - and then forget your name the second you ask for something that recognizes your work whether it be a promotion, a raise, or even a damn day off.

Then drop a comment and tell me:
What’s the biggest lie a company ever told you during the interview?
(Extra points for “we’re like a family” flashbacks.)
Button Pusher Blues : A Playfully Toxic Tale Disclaimer: This post is not a reflection of my current workplace. It draws from two decades of observation, conversations, and personal experiences navigating the wild and often weird world of sma…

One month of quiet = big changes: author, runner, career pivots, creative projects… and starting next week, a new series: Playfully Toxic. Tuesdays just got louder.
Quiet Month, Loud Return So… I’ve been radio silent for about a month. Not because I don’t love you (I do, I promise), but because I’ve been welcoming the quiet. Sometimes you need to step back and let things settle a litt…

Let’s cut the crap - pun intended.
No one warned me that my mid-forties would mean getting a formal invite to drink liquid fire and spend the night conducting a full-body exorcism in my bathroom. But here we are! Welcome to middle age folks – where birthdays come with the gift of preventative screenings.
Crystal Light and Colon Regret Let’s cut the crap. No one warned me that my mid-forties would mean getting a formal invite to drink liquid fire and spend the night conducting a full-body exorcism in my bathroom. But here we are!…

2020 tried to break me. Cancer tried to finish the job. Corporate life helped me forget who I was. But she’s still in there and now she’s louder than ever!
This one’s for anyone clawing their way back to themselves amidst the ongoing dumpster fire we live in 🖤
Lost and (Almost, Maybe?) Found There’s this moment you don’t even notice at first. A slow fade. It’s not some dramatic “the call is coming from inside the house” breakdown either. It’s just a gentle erosion of self. Like someone…

It’s almost here! Save the Date! Our empowering book: “Amigas Rising: Lifting Others as We Climb” will be launching on Tuesday, September 9th. It will be available on Amazon for a special introductory rate of $1.99 USD!
My chapter shares what it looks like to rise even when life doesn't exactly give you the best foundation. (Spoiler alert: it’s messy.) But there’s magic in the mess when you decide to keep going and bring others with you.
I’m so honored (and a little in awe and a lot humbled) to be featured alongside an incredible group of women who share their own journeys of strength, leadership, and lifting others up - because no one got here alone.
True success is not measured by how high we rise alone, but by how many others we can bring along with us.
When we empower those around us, we create a ripple effect of transformation, where our individual victories become shared triumphs.
This anthology showcases the power of women supporting women: leaders who break barriers, build communities, and open doors of opportunity for those who follow.
Together, we rise higher.
I would be so honored if you would mark the date on your calendar and share this opportunity with your friends, contacts, and colleagues.

Hey friends – if you've been here a while, you might remember this page from The Awakenings Project days. That project was my baby, and I miss it deeply. It held space for hundreds of women to show up, speak up, and be seen — and it changed me forever. 💛
Now, after a long pause (thanks, COVID), I’m starting to look through the lens again. But with a whole new perspective. One shaped by healing, grit, breast cancer, and the beautiful chaos of raising teens, running slow, and building a life that’s playfully, but brutally honest.
The page has a new name - Playfully True - and a new direction: unfiltered stories about how we show up, fall down, and try again (usually fueled by rage, sarcasm, and caffeine).
So if you’re still here, thank you. If you’re new, welcome. It might get wild. Start here 👇👇
