seasonal fresh market that opens as soon as the tomatoes are ripe. we also grow potatoes cucumbers peppers and eggplant Located between I-55 and Lemay Ferry Road on Meramec Bottom Road in front of the Missouri American Water Company in South St.
Louis County. We are a landmark because this farm has been in our family since 1896.
Operating as usual
Let me start by saying that any chance of opening with tomatoes this summer ended today when Steve's truck was stolen from under the canopy overnight. Our country has gone to hell, and the criminals have the upper hand. I will not risk the safety or lives of my family for even one business day. Thank you for supporting our small business for 35 years. We will miss you.
We are overjoyed to announce an addition to the 6th generation here on the farm. Megan and Dustin are proud parents to Dillon Grainger Mehrtens. He's a sturdy 8# boy with long fingers. Everyone is doing great.

Dont get too excited, tomatoes are not near ready yet,........but in about 10 or 12 days, these beautiful yellow flat beans will. There seems to be a lot also. If anyone has any interest, comment or message me because I am thinking of starting a list so as I pick them, people can come get their order as fresh as possible.

Letting everyone know that we are trying our best to be open full time this summer
Ok, one last post and I will be done for 2020, I promise!! I have about 40 old fashioned 'cow' pumpkins, $3.00 each, which are the truest type for the best pies. The story is that these were fed ONLY to the dairy cows to make their milk sweeter.
Today is....
CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY.
stop by and pick up a few free tomatoes. There aren't enough to open again but we do want to show some love to our faithful followers.
A HUGE thank you to everyone here who supports our small business and understands our limited abilities. Stay safe and see you all in 2021!!!
