Long awaited development on South Kingshighway gains momentum as details begin to emerge.

$72 million, 333-apartment project in south St. Louis could change South Kingshighway John Clancy, a Florida-based Planet Fitness franchisee who owns dozens of the gyms across the country, has spent the last two-plus years assembling the 12-acre site.

This one has a really cool story behind it! Lisa grew up in this house in South City her grandfather bought this house in 1977 for $20,000! She inherited the house after he passed away and completely remodeled it. Not just a quick coat of paint and countertops, I'm talking about a full gut rehab with high end finishes (it was her first flip-- so impressive!). When we got offers on the house, one offer was from a young couple that grew up in the small town of Aviston (Less than 2,000 people!). Turns out Lisa's grandfather was originally from Aviston too!
There were lots of other little signs along the way that it was meant to be including the number "7" which kept on showing up throughout Lisa and Doug's time with the home all the way up to the day of closing. The kids left a sweet message for the new homeowners on closing day wishing the new owners a happy closing day.
These are the kinds of stories that make me love my job so much. It's not just showing houses and helping people navigate paperwork... I love learning people's unique life stories and getting to be a small part of their experiences. #777
