Welcome to the PsychLing Lab at Washington University! We conduct research on listening effort, which is how much work it takes your brain to process speech!

Right now our studies are focused on nonnative accented speech - our goal is to improve communication between individuals of different language backgrounds, reduce stigma associated with certain accents, and provide basic linguistics education.
