Here are 3 simple steps to fix it (from a PhD high-performance coach). ⬇️⬇️⬇️ And don’t skip number 2!

Step 1. Decide very SPECIFICALLY—What is your next goal? What is the next level that you want to accomplish? This shouldn’t just be “more.” Make sure this is measurable and can realistically be accomplished within the next 12 months. For example, “Increase my income to X,” or “Reach X number of followers,” or “Improve my GPA to X.” 🎯

Step 2. Write this goal down! This is an important step that you shouldn’t skip. For one, science shows that those who write down their goals are significantly more likely to achieve them. Secondly, having it written will not allow you to move the target when you start to get close. ✍️

Step 3. Celebrate! When you hit your goal, do something to celebrate your accomplishment—Go out for your favorite dinner, get tickets to a game, buy something you’ve been wanting. This doesn’t have to be huge, but it needs to be done. 🎉

Doing these 3 simple steps will be a game-changer for your fulfillment, happiness, and stamina.

You don’t have to wait until you “arrive” to feel fulfilled.

The moments you’re in right now—the effort, the growth, the progress—that’s the part that actually matters.

Don’t miss it while chasing what’s next.

You don’t need to control every thought—you just need to choose what you focus on.

When your mind starts to spiral, shift it.

That’s where you get your control back. 💪

Here is how you get yourself out of this negative cycle. (Don’t worry, it’s much simpler than you think.) ⬇️

And don’t beat yourself up about being in this spot. MOST people (especially perfectionist high-achievers) are falling short of the expectations they have for themselves because they are making one or both of these mistakes:

1️⃣ Trying to commit to too much.

2️⃣ Being unclear about EXACTLY what they should be disciplined about.

So let’s fix this.

Don’t try to be disciplined in every minute, with every decision of the day‼️This is a losing battle, which then forms the habit of losing, which then forms a negative cycle and self-image… 🔄

Instead, focus on “WINNING THE 30.”

Let me explain—Choose one thing to commit to for 30 minutes per day. Maybe this is 30 minutes of exercise, or 30 minutes of prospect calls, or 30 minutes of content creation, etc.

The earlier in the day you can commit to this 30 minutes, the better. Block it off in your calendar. 📆

Tell yourself that if you WIN THIS 30, YOU WIN THE DAY. 🏆🏆🏆

And this isn’t just blowing smoke—when you start your day by following through with the discipline of that 30 minutes, you will get the benefit of the performance-enhancing neurotransmitters that come along with that win.

WIN THE 30, WIN THE DAY

This forms a POSITIVE CYCLE of winning and following through 🏆 The results will speak for themselves 🙌

The way you talk about yourself matters more than you think.

Every time you downplay a win, you’re reinforcing doubt.

Start noticing what you’re doing well—because that’s what builds confidence over time. ❤️

Raise your hand if you struggle with not knowing whether you did ENOUGH in a day???

I never feel like this anymore. And you don’t have to either…

Don’t get me wrong, I have my days where I know I DIDN’T do enough, but the point is that I KNOW. This is crucial. Because I know whether I did or didn’t, I can make adjustments for the next day. (And the real flex is that you will start to feel confident, fulfilled, and accomplished instead of constantly unsettled, frazzled, and self-doubting.) 🙌

04/24/2026

Give yourself more credit.

What looks like “luck” is usually consistency, effort, and the habits you’ve been showing up for.

Start noticing what’s actually working— that’s how you keep the results going.

How do you know when it’s time to move on?

Getting out of the shower kind of sucks. It’s cold 🥶 You have to dry off. Put on a million different lotions. Dry your hair….

Do you ever find yourself staying in because you don’t want to get out?

This, Ladies and Gents, is what they call a HOLDING PATTERN, and we want to avoid these at all costs❗️Get out. Dry off. Put on your lotions. Get to the next amazing part of your day. Drying your hair is optional, but staying because you don’t want to go through the process of the next steps in NOT.

What is that next thing in life that you want??? Is there something you have to let go of to make that happen? Get out of the shower and get after it! YOU ARE WORTH IT.

And because I promised you my personal story in that cryptic caption—💃🏻

Dancing was a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I always knew it would sting when I retired. I weirdly secretly hoped it would end with an injury or something that made it an easy decision. But, unfortunately that never happened ;) In fact, I still felt like I was getting better and better. Great, but also annoying in this decision making process…. As my coaching business was taking off and becoming more and more fulfilling and exciting to me, I knew I was holding myself back from what was next for me by dividing my focus. I also felt so proud of my dancing career, and it was a great place to leave it. That being said, it still wasn’t that much of a quick and easy decision. I probably “knew” all this on some level for months before I actually pulled the trigger (about a week before the next season was about to start (😬 oops!). As soon as I realized that I was staying because I didn’t want to go through the process of leaving, I made the uncomfortable phone call. ❤️

One last thing—those people you are worried about disappointing will get over it. ESPECIALLY if they care about you. NO HOLDING PATTERNS ALLOWED.

Success doesn’t always feel the way you thought it would.

Sometimes it comes with pressure, expectations, and a constant need to keep pushing.

If it’s starting to feel heavy, that doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong—it just means something might need to shift.

04/20/2026

The space you’re looking for isn’t found in doing more—it’s created by doing less of what doesn’t matter.

Restraint isn’t weakness, it’s a skill.

And the more you practice it, the more space you create for what actually matters. ❤️
