Working on a series of birds from my backyard. From pencil to paint, portraits to birds, I still feel each attempt at art is just practice.
Perhaps appreciating birds is something old folks do. It's the luxury of time and gratitude for creation.

Kurt Cobain pencil and charcoal. Referenced 1993 photograph by Mark Seligar. 30x22 unframed. Willing to sell this one for the right price. Can do a print for less.

The raven is epoxied. The window frame is texture paste and crackled. The ivy is baking soda soft.

Out and about yesterday by the Meramec. This felt a little Edgar Allen Poe -ish, even though this is a puffed up northern mockingbird not a raven.
