Sooo how do you find the Gathering House where our Plant Sale is being held? It actually is quite easy to find. As you enter George Rogers Clark Park .... turn right immediately. That is before the barn, house and trees. The single lane road will take you behind the park sign and past the dumpster on your right. On your left you will see piles of cut lumber and firewood. After the firewood take the angled road to the LEFT. In front of you, there will be a two-story gray building. That's the GRCHA Gathering House and the headquarters for the Fair at New Boston. You can go in the front door to see our merchants or go to the right side of the building to the garage door which will be open. Plants for your future garden are waiting for you. See you tomorrow after 10 a.m.

We had an amazing turnout for our Artillery Safety & Drill Course! Men and women from all over learned the purpose of the course, different safety precautions and drills such as misfires. They witnessed two safety demonstrations involving a chicken thigh and a watermelon. They learned first aid and how to properly care for/clean the guns, and the fun part of course.. THEY SHOT SOME CANNONS! Each of our students left with a NMLRA Artillery Safety and Drill certificate!
Thank you to The 1st Mad River Light Artillery, The George Rogers Clark Heritage Association, Clark County Park District & our sponsor The National Muzzleloading Rifle Association NMLRA for making this class possible! 🔥💨

Ever watched the First Mad River Light Artillery roll past in a parade, fire the cannon, and thought, “I want in on that”? Here’s your chance. On Sunday, April 12, step into history at George Rogers Clark Park for a full-day, hands-on Muzzle Loading Cannon Class led by certified instructors from the First Mad River Light Artillery and the 4th Indiana Light Artillery. You won’t just watch, you’ll be part of the crew, rotating through five positions and firing both an 18th-century British 6-pounder and a Civil War-era 3-inch Ordnance Rifle. The class runs from early morning to dusk, costs $125, and has limited spots; it fills up fast. Call (937) 244-5311 or email [email protected] to secure your spot.
